Site Policies
Here are our site policies (Comment Policy and Privacy Policy) as they relate to our site and users.
Comment Policy
When you come to Sell with WP, you’re coming in to our internet home. There are a few house rules we’d like our community to be aware of so that we can all be cool as cucumbers and enjoy the conversation.
Audience
This site is intended for all ages.
Moderation
Sell with WP reserves the right to delete, suspend, or publish comment data solely at their discretion, and to change comment policies as we see fit.
We will not allow the following comments:
- Those that are off topic or do not add to the discussion (yep, this includes you just shilling for a product).
- Anonymous comments – you must include your name and email. A site tagline or promotion included simply to provide anchor text is not a name.
- Spam comments or comments whose sole purpose is to place an affiliate link.
- Comments that are deemed inappropriate in nature by our staff.
Commenting is for the express purpose of engaging in a public, stimulating discussion about site topics. As such, we hope that you honor this by adding to the discussion, not distracting from it.
Privacy
Please see our full privacy policy if you have questions. Data related to your identity, such as name, URL, and email address will never be shared, bartered, or sold to third parties.
Legal Indemnity
Commenters agree to “hold harmless” site owners/authors from any and all legal repercussions, damages, and liabilities perceived to have been caused by participating in this site’s online conversations.
Contact
If you have questions about this policy, please feel free to get in touch. If we’re going to be dedicated to providing the highest quality content, we want to ensure that our community discussion is respectful and relevant, so we feel that these guidelines help us do so.
Many thanks to WP Candy and 8BIT for giving us the idea to include this in our site, and for having great policies themselves, some of which we’ve borrowed.

Website Visitors
Like most website operators, SellwithWP collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. SellwithWP’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how SellwithWP.com’s visitors use its website. From time to time, SellwithWP may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
SellwithWP also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. SellwithWP does not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors to SellwithWP’s website choose to interact with SellwithWP in ways that require SellwithWP to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that SellwithWP gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who register for an account to provide a username and email address. Those who engage in transactions with SellwithWP – by purchasing our plugins, for example – are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information
required to process those transactions. In each case, SellwithWP collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with SellwithWP.
SellwithWP does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying
information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
Aggregated Statistics
SellwithWP may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, SellwithWP may monitor plugin downloads or number of comments. SellwithWP may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, SellwithWP does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
SellwithWP discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on SellwithWP’s behalf or to provide services available at SellwithWP’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others.
Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using SellwithWP’s website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. SellwithWP will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone.
Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, SellwithWP discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when SellwithWP believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property
or rights of SellwithWP, third parties or the public at large.
If you are a registered user of a SellwithWP website and have supplied your email address, SellwithWP may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with SellwithWP and our products. We primarily use our blog to communicate this type of information, so we expect
to keep this type of email to a minimum.
If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we
reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. SellwithWP takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
Cookies
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time
the visitor returns. SellwithWP uses cookies to help SellwithWP identify and track visitors, their usage of the SellwithWP website, and their website access preferences. SellwithWP visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using SellwithWP’s website, with the drawback that certain features of SellwithWP’s websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.
Business Transfers
If SellwithWP, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that SellwithWP goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of SellwithWP may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.
Ads
Ads appearing on our website may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by SellwithWP and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.
Privacy Policy Changes
Although most changes are likely to be minor, SellwithWP may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and at SellwithWP’s sole discretion. SellwithWP encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
