WPLift has more listed. Now on to more great news 🙂

  • Obox has released an interesting new service – Instant, which provides a start-to-finish website solution for users. Post Status has a great overview of the service, which allows users to instantly get hosting, a domain name, and theme that actually looks like a demo. eCommerce is even included!

  • WooThemes has had a super-busy week. Here are some of the exciting things we’ve seen from them over the past few days:
    • As we mentioned previously, Sensei (a popular e-learning plugin) had a huge update released – here’s a list of cool things you can now do with the plugin (don’t mind the over-the-top title 🙂 ).
    • Speaking of Sensei, here are some Sensei tips from Tech Tabby.
    • Themes are being upgraded via the new version of WooFramework – I’m hoping this leads to some new WooCommerce theme releases soon.
    • This also paves the way for Canvas child themes, which has been a very popular request, as Canvas is the most popular theme from WooThemes and is a common starting point for WooCommerce sites.
  • While we’re talking about WooCommerce: here’s a tutorial from SkyVerge on creating pre-sales forms for your WooCommerce products.

  • Here’s another handy WooCommerce tutorial from Sean Cull on Hiding Shipping Methods for Specific Products.

  • If you’re using EDD + Recurring Payments, you may want to check out this small plugin from Sumobi: it allows you to notify customers that they cannot purchase more than one download subscription at a time and prevents them from doing so.

  • Restrict Content Pro is one of the membership plugins we recommend, and Braintree is also one of our preferred payment gateways. You’ll be happy to hear that you can now use them in harmony – Braintree is an officially supported add-on.

  • Looking to level up your WordPress development skills? You should really check out the WPSessions VIP membership, which includes lessons from WordPress experts and extra sessions. The program is currently invite only – sign up quickly to be one of the first 100 users for your invite!

  • Here’s a great tutorial from Justin Sainton on setting a default shipping country for WP eCommerce.

  • Jigoshop has released two new extensions this week: Coupon Purchasers, which provides data on coupon usage, and Flat Rate Shipping, which extends the built-in flat rate shipping to provide more options. Pick them up with the coupon code above!

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your weekend!
